Job Description
As a CNC Miller, you will take shared responsibility for the design of milling processes and full ownership of their execution. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Independently reading technical drawings and work instructions to correctly set up and configure 5-axis machining centres, including Hermle, Burkhardt Weber, and Waldrich Coburg.
- Producing complex, high-precision components — frequently prototypes or small series — to exacting tolerances.
- Carrying out in-process quality controls throughout production to maintain the highest standards.
- Managing microplanning on the machine, ensuring the efficient and effective use of tooling and materials.
- Providing constructive feedback to programmers upon job completion, identifying what worked well and where improvements can be made.
- Conducting root cause analysis when quality issues arise and actively contributing to preventive solutions and continuous improvement.
- Working within a 5-shift (2-2-1) rotation pattern covering early day, late day, and night shifts.

- Broad, demonstrable experience as a CNC Machinist within the precision engineering industry — essential.
- Proven ability to independently read and interpret complex technical engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with measuring tools and in-process inspection techniques.
- Strong, demonstrable experience operating 5-axis machining centres — essential.
- Experience with Siemens CNC control systems — essential.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges.
- Ability to work in a structured, accurate, and methodical manner.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to provide technical feedback to programmers and colleagues.
- A collaborative team player with a genuine sense of quality and pride in workmanship.
- Willingness to work a rotating 5-shift pattern including nights and weekends.
