Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting and managing a portfolio of commercial insurance policies
- Policy wording interpretation and accurate documentation
- Liaising with clients, brokers, and stakeholders professionally
- Ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and processes
- Analyzing risk, negotiating terms, and issuing policies
- Providing expert advice on commercial insurance products
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance (NQF 5) Essential
- Regulatory Examination 5 (RE 5) Essential
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Underwriting within short-term insurance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional command of English, including comprehension and report writing
- Strong policy wording, knowledge, and interpretation skills
- Afrikaans & English First Language
