About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager to lead our sales team in Gaborone, Botswana. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and managing commercial vehicle sales performance to meet monthly and annual targets, while developing and implementing sales strategies to grow market share in Botswana.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage commercial vehicle sales performance to meet monthly and annual targets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share in Botswana
  • Manage the full sales process from lead generation to deal closure
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, forecasting and reporting

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor and motivate the commercial vehicle sales team
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training and performance reviews
  • Ensure the team maintains professional customer service standards

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key fleet clients, businesses, and government customers.
  • Oversee customer satisfaction and effective resolution of escalated issues
  • Develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships

Operational Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement and workshop teams
  • Ensure compliance with OEM standards and dealership policies
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and pricing strategies
  • Oversee accuracy of documentation, costing, and deal files

Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts and performance analyses for management
  • Oversee CRM usage and ensure accurate sales records
  • Manage budgets, expenses and profitability of the sales department

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial vehicle sales, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets
  • Experience with fleet, government and business-to-business sales highly advantageous
  • Valid driver’s licence (code suitable for commercial vehicles preferred)
  • Solid understanding of the Botswana commercial vehicle market
