About the Role
The Credit Controller will be responsible for ensuring timely allocation of customer accounts, resolving queries, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily review of credit limits
- Posting of rebates, discounts
- Preparation of documentation for all over credit limits/terms before escalation
- Handling and resolving of queries
- Visiting of customers
- Monitor account for prompt/late payments
- Maintaining accuracy on customer accounts
- Maintaining master file information
- Realising of order
- Prepare cash sale recons
- Maintenance of unallocated credit balances
- Printing of statements
- Prepping of age analysis
- Prepping of collection targets
- Journal entries
- Telephonic collections
- National Recoveries
- Preparation of files to legal handover
Requirements
- Grade 12 with 5+ years or more experience
- Accpac (Sage)
- Credit Management Studies, highly advantageous
- Large Bookvalue
- Excel – Intermediate
- Manage difficult customers
- Analytical
- Accuracy
- Systematic & logical thinker
- Good people skills
