About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data BI Support Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our Business Intelligence department, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining data pipelines from SQL databases, Excel/CSV files, and other data sources, as well as developing and publishing Power BI dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines from SQL databases, Excel/CSV files, and other data sources
  • Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculations
  • Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reports
  • Support AI-assisted insight generation, including trend analysis and anomaly detection

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in a Data Analyst or BI Support role
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
  • Proven experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query)
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleansing)
