About the Role
E-Merge is a specialist niche recruitment agency, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. This is a permanent position, offering a hybrid work model that combines the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-office collaboration. As a DevOps Engineer at E-Merge, you will play a crucial role in streamlining software development processes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development processes.
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
- Orchestrate and manage Kubernetes clusters for efficient application deployment and scaling.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate and manage cloud resources.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the DevOps environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in DevOps engineering with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and best practices.
- Proficiency in Docker for containerization.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to a hybrid work model.
Qualifications
