Job Description
Main Purpose:
To manage secretariat services and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Board and Committees, while developing and enforcing legal and regulatory compliance frameworks. This role ensures the mitigation of legal and reputational risks and delivers legal advisory and support functions to safeguard the organization.
Key performance areas:
Manage and provide secretariat services and administrative and related support activities to the Board and Committees
Develop and ensure the application of a framework for legal and regulatory compliance across the organisation
Ensure that the legal and reputational risk of the organisation is mitigated and controlled
Provide a legal advisory and support function to the organisation
Minimum Requirements:
Matric Certificate
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualification related to Company Secretariat
Registration with the Chartered Secretaries of Southern Africa (CSSA)
At least 8 years’ experience of which must include a combination of experience in governance, Board Secretariat services and provision of legal support functions
5 of the 8 years’ experience must be in middle management or senior management level
Experience in providing Board support within a regulatory environment or entity, in the health sector
Knowledge and competence in business administration, compliance management, corporate governance and drafting of agreements
Valid driver’s license
