About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our sales and marketing efforts, driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the South African market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in revenue generation, leadership, and strategic planning, with a strong understanding of the African hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with business objectives, target market, and competitive landscape.
- Oversee brand identity and positioning, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity, and customer experience across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
- Lead sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, including developing sales plans, setting targets, and monitoring performance.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote hotel offerings, special events, and promotions through a mix of traditional and digital channels.
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry partners to generate positive publicity and media coverage for the hotel.
- Implement customer relationship management (CRM) strategies to cultivate relationships with loyal patrons, gather feedback, and drive repeat business.
Requirements
- High school Diploma
- A formal hospitality / sales & marketing qualification
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a 5* hotel environment
- Strong African market experience
- Proven leadership in revenue generation

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
