About the Role
A premier African construction and engineering group is seeking a dynamic Financial Manager to lead their Zimbabwe operations. This role is designed for a commercially astute professional who can provide strategic leadership while partnering closely with operational teams in high-impact site environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for regional projects.
* Operational Control: Oversee project financial performance, including job costing, WIP management, and margin optimization.
* Cross-Border Compliance: Ensure absolute statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance across multiple African jurisdictions.
* Commercial Business Partnering: Support operational leaders with deep financial analysis and commercial insights to drive profitability and growth.
* Governance & Audit: Implement robust internal controls and manage the end-to-end audit process with external regulators.
* Treasury Management: Monitor working capital, funding requirements, and regional cash flow.
Requirements
* Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, or Business Management.
* Experience:
* Minimum 7 years of experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance role.
* Proven experience managing multi-site or cross-border operations.
* Sector experience in construction, engineering, or mining is highly advantageous.
