About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in a South African hotel/lodge/resort environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the property, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, safety, and compliance with health and safety standards to support a high-quality guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical panels, wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures
- Ensure minimal disruption to guests during maintenance work
- Assist with renovations, upgrades, and new facility developments
- Monitor electrical system efficiency and ensure compliance with South African building regulations and standards
Requirements
- Relevant trade test certificate or equivalent (e.g., Electrical Installation Certificate)
- Experience working in a similar environment is advantageous
