About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician with a strong background in injection moulding machines to join our client’s team in South Africa. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, including PLCs, VSDs, and servo drives, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- 5-7 years’ experience working with injection moulding machines.
- Experience working with mould safety systems, including proximity switches.
- A good understanding of PLCs.
- A good understanding of elements and temperature controls.
- Experience working with plastic extrusion machines and ancillary systems.
- Wireman’s license preferred.
- Ability to work across all electrical problems in a factory setting, from lightbulbs to transformers.
- Need to have experience working with Robots.
- Maintain electrical panels, wiring, contactors, relays, and VSDs.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (Trade Tested) – Red Seal preferred
- N4/N5 Electrical Engineering (advantage)
- 3–5 years’ experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience working on injection moulding machines (essential)
