Food and Beverage Manager – Must be fluent in FRENCH Location: Congo, Kinshasa – URGENT Job Type Permanent, Full-Time Job Description – MUST BE FLUENT IN FRENCH The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations within the establishment. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality service, efficient management of resources, compliance with health and safety standards, and maximisation of profitability. The manager leads the planning, organisation, control, and coordination of food and beverage services, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Key Job Duties – MUST BE FLUENT IN FRENCH Plan, direct, and coordinate all food and beverage operations to meet organisational goals. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure quality and efficiency. Manage budgets, control costs, and analyse financial reports to optimise profitability. Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff performance, fostering a positive working environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, hygiene, and licencing regulations. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and maintain inventory levels. Monitor customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Coordinate with other departments to support overall business objectives. Organise and oversee special events and promotions as required. Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory. Required Qualifications Relevant qualification in hospitality management, business management, or a related field. Education Minimum of National Senior Certificate or equivalent; further education in hospitality or management is preferred. Experience At least five years of progressive experience in food and beverage management within a similar environment. Proven track record of successfully managing a team and achieving operational targets. Knowledge and Skills Comprehensive understanding of food and beverage operations, including service standards and safety regulations. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage customer relations effectively. Organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in relevant computer applications and management systems. Preferred Qualifications Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration. Certification in food safety and hygiene management. Experience in managing large-scale food and beverage operations or multiple outlets.
