About the Role

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Financial Advisor to join our team, specializing in short-term insurance lines for both commercial and personal clients. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business leads, conducting comprehensive needs analyses, and providing expert advice to clients. If you have a strong understanding of the short-term insurance industry in South Africa and excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source sufficient lead generating opportunities to ensure a healthy income-generating pipeline
  • Maintain and update Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis
  • Conduct comprehensive needs analysis with all prospective clients
  • Perform in line with business expectations on agreed key performance areas
  • Keep up to date and fully informed on product comparisons with opposition products
  • Be proficient in short-term Insure products and stay abreast of all product changes and enhancements
  • Maintain compliance in all activities according to regulations and standards of Insurance regulations and professional guidelines and ethics
  • Maintain and develop appropriate skills and knowledge to provide specialist, professional advice
  • Meet the Fit and proper requirements as prescribed by the FAIS codes of conduct

Qualifications

  • Matric/Grade 12 (ESSENTIAL)
  • FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in short-term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010); or if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a fully recognized qualification as per the FSCA qualification list
  • BENEFICIAL FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5)
  • BENEFICIAL 12 CPD (continuous professional development) points if registered for 1 line of business
  • BENEFICIAL 18 CPD points if registered for both commercial and personal lines
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in selling short-term insurance (commercial and personal lines) either as a broker agent or tied agent

Retainer Allowances up to R60,000/annum
