About the Role

Our client, a Safari Lodge and Spa in Zambia, is seeking a young, dynamic, and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to lead their culinary and hospitality operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences while maximizing revenue and maintaining cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage departments.
  • Maintain a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
  • Supervise and manage employees, ensuring all day-to-day operations run smoothly.
  • Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and a passion for providing service.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests and respond quickly and proactively to their concerns.
  • Drive alignment of all employees, team leaders, and managers to the brand’s service culture.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, drive quality, and verify standards are meeting the expectations of customers on a daily basis.
  • Conduct performance reviews in a timely manner and identify developmental needs of employees.
  • Comply with all corporate accounting procedures and provide necessary information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma from an accredited university/ College in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 5 years of experience in the aforementioned areas.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proven track record of managing financial resources and budgets effectively.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and implement strategic plans to drive business results.
  • Understanding of market dynamics and business principles.
  • Prior experience in managing and conducting human resource activities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Salary: Very Competitive Monthly Salary (Negotiable paid in US$)
