About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Game Lodge Manager to join our team at a luxury 20-bed lodge on the KZN North Coast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing luxury game lodges with under 20 rooms, excellent administrative skills, and a proven track record of providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of lodge operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and guest services
- Ensure seamless day-to-day management of the lodge, including financial management and budgeting
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and attention to detail in all interactions with guests and staff
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract new guests
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure excellent overall guest experience
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Minimum 35 years game lodge management experience, including current or recent assistant lodge manager roles
- Luxury game or safari lodge management experience in lodges with under 20 rooms
- Stable work record and recent experience working in 5* luxury game lodges within the past 2 years
- Excellent all-round lodge operations skills and strong administrative abilities
- Financial literacy and computer proficiency (Excel, POS, reservation systems)
- High standards of professionalism and attention to detail
