About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Coordinator to join their team in Observatory, Cape Town. As an integral part of the HR department, you will support various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Manage HR databases and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment contracts, letters of employment, and termination notices.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and ensure employees are informed about their benefits.
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees.
- Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit HR reports as required by management.
- Assist in the performance appraisal process, including tracking performance reviews and follow-up actions.
- Support HR initiatives and projects as needed, contributing to the improvement of HR processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a coordinator or administrative capacity.
- Knowledge of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
