About the Role
Efficiency Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to join their team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and food preparation activities.
- Plan menus and ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory and ordering of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Control food costs and minimise wastage.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- Culinary qualification advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
