About the Role
A new opportunity has become available as Hotel General Manager at a busy 4*branded property in Accra, Ghana. The property is undergoing a rebranding and we are seeking candidates with Marriott experience to oversee full operations, focusing on guest experience and satisfaction. We require a highly motivated individual with excellent leadership skills who can drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, brand standards, and growth objectives
- Manage daily hotel functions—including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and guest services—to deliver seamless and superior guest experiences
- Develop and control budgets, monitor financial performance, optimize revenue streams, and ensure cost efficiency
- Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and staff to foster a high-performance, service-driven culture
- Maintain the highest standards of hospitality and service quality, responding proactively to guest feedback and market trends
Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience in Sub Saharan Africa
- Rebranding or preopening experience highly beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA or Hospitality Management specialization) is preferred, especially for international or luxury brands
