About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our lodge near Iringa, Tanzania, which offers 50 rooms, a restaurant, and a bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel management, financial acumen, and experience with food and beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operations of the lodge, ensuring excellent guest experiences and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Oversee the Rooms Division and Food & Beverage departments to achieve revenue targets and maintain quality standards
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and increase occupancy rates
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve operational goals and objectives
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification (required for work permit)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as General Manager in a corporate or resort hotel with over 50 rooms
- Proven Food & Beverage and Rooms Division exposure
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively
- Stable track record of at least 2 years in each of the last 3 positions (no job hoppers)
