About the Role
We are seeking a highly accurate and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our dynamic Logistics team. As an Inventory Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management systems, prioritizing, multitasking, and meeting deadlines under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy. A proactive, process-driven, and solution-oriented approach is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately import all stock into systems within required timeframes
- Reconcile system stock against physical stock at cold stores
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Handle stock-related queries promptly
- Book sample and marketing pallets as requested
- Perform daily stock checks to identify inconsistencies
- Process mates data, including weight calculations and pallet linking
- Prepare shipment documentation and liaise with freight forwarders
- Manage Paltrack registrations for suppliers
- Maintain and update system master data
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, preferably within the agriculture or FMCG sector
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications
- Solid understanding of stock management systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
