About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and service-driven Junior Food and Beverage Manager to support the daily operations of our food and beverage department at our boutique hotel in the Karoo. Located just two hours from Cape Town, our property offers an authentic escape with 26 hotel rooms, 13 Africamps glamping tents, two restaurants, and a wide range of outdoor activities. As we undergo exciting facility upgrades and introduce new guest experiences, we need a strong F&B candidate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of all food and beverage operations
  • Oversee front of house service to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Supervise and guide food and beverage team members on shift
  • Maintain high service standards and ensure consistency across outlets
  • Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any service-related concerns promptly
  • Assist with stock control, stock takes, and ordering processes
  • Support kitchen with basic costing and cost control measures
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Work closely with senior management to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or similar leadership role experience in a 4/5 star hotel/resort/lodge
  • Essential Diploma or similar in Food Service Management or related field
  • Beneficial A strong understanding of food and beverage trends, particularly in a boutique and luxury setting
  • Solid understanding of restaurant and bar service standards
  • Exposure to stock control and basic costing processes

  • Formal education/certifications (if applicable)

Salary & Benefits

  • Package on offer R 25-30 000 pm, depending on Experience
