About the Role
This is a full-time role providing hands-on administrative and operational support to the Senior Administrator and the broader Private Clients team in Johannesburg. The role offers exposure to a dynamic investment environment, with opportunities to develop both technical and regulatory skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Support the account opening process by liaising with service providers and following up on documentation
- Apply FICA knowledge and ensure that all new business is correctly and timeously recorded
- Manage operational queries from Portfolio Managers and the Operational Head efficiently
- Identify discrepancies, follow up, and escalate exceptions as required
- Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with ad hoc departmental administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- Education: Matric or equivalent qualification
- Experience: 2-3 years in investment administration or a similar Financial Services administrative role
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of operational controls and compliance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- High attention to detail and strong numerical ability
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and assume responsibility
