Job Summary
Lodge Manager | Luxury Lodge | Tanzania
Salary: Negotiable (DOE) | Accommodation: Live-In
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and passionate Lodge Manager to join a prestigious luxury lodge in Tanzania. This role is perfect for a dynamic hospitality professional who excels at creating exceptional guest experiences while managing the full scope of lodge operations.
Key Responsibilities
-
Full responsibility for lodge operations including guest experience, kitchen, R&M, finance, and staff management.
-
Lead and mentor the senior management team; provide indirect oversight of all lodge staff.
-
Prepare, manage, and control budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the Lodge Administrator and Regional Finance Manager.
-
Oversee CAPEX programmes, infrastructure development, and IT systems.
-
Drive human capital development through recruitment, training, and mentorship.
-
Ensure security, emergency response, healthcare, and environmental health protocols are in place and maintained.
-
Manage logistics such as camp moves, set-up, and take-down.
-
Liaise with government, regional, and national stakeholders to ensure compliance with all licensing and permit requirements.
-
Contribute to conservation and community initiatives in partnership with foundations and local stakeholders.

Ensure sustainability goals are met and improved annually.

Manage lodge marketing, including social media and internal communications.
-
Travel between lodges and camps as required.
Hospitality Focus

Continuously enhance the guest experience, keeping it innovative and aligned with local heritage.

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and returning guests.
-
Ensure brand standards are upheld across all lodge operations.

Oversee action plans and ensure tasks are completed within budget.

Optimise efficiencies in procurement and operational processes.
Requirements
-
Experience: Minimum 35 years in management within a 5-star boutique hospitality environment.

Previous lodge or safari camp management experience advantageous.
-
Proven track record in hospitality training and service delivery.
