About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment Presents: Keeping the Bush Running Behind the Scenes. We are on the hunt for a practical, hands-on Maintenance Manager for a luxury safari lodge based in Zululand, KZN. This is the perfect role for someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, loves problem-solving, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty in the heart of the bush.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular equipment checks and ensure everything is in top working order
  • Manage daily fleet checks, including fuel, cleanliness, and basic vehicle readiness for game drives
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs across the lodge and farm, including gates, plumbing, and general small fixes
  • Assist with non-guest-facing ranger support tasks as required
  • Ensure vehicles are fully prepped for use

Requirements

  • Strong general maintenance and repair skills
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Comfortable working in a remote bush environment
  • Hands-on, hardworking, and solution-driven
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Previous lodge or farm experience would be an advantage (not essential)
