Job Description

Award Winning Boutique Hotel in Bantry Bay is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to support the day-to-day maintenance ; repair and upkeep of the property ; ensuring that all guest and staff areas are maintained . The role requires a hands-on approach ; sound technical knowledge; and the ability to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities effectively. Duties: Carry out and supervise preventative and reactive maintenance across the property Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained to luxury standards Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritising guest comfort and safety Support and guide maintenance team members in daily tasks Coordinate approved external contractors when required Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety, fire, and statutory requirements Support sustainability initiatives including energy and water efficiency Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance or engineering role Proven technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance Working knowledge of health and safety regulations High standard of workmanship and pride in the property Calm; professional, and solutions-focused approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and on call as required Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail
