Job Description: Design practical and efficient engineering solutions with a focus on simplicity, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacture Produce high-quality assembly and detailed manufacturing drawings in line with applicable industry standards Develop part specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), production documentation, and technical manuals Initiate and implement Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to improve and update existing designs Control and maintain revisions of drawings, material lists, and equipment documentation Create detailed layout drawings for customer manufacturing facilities and production environments Prepare accurate Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing teams and assist technicians on-site as required Skills & Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in machine design and manufacturing environments At least 2 years practical experience using CAD software Strong computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, and 2D CAD applications Proven proficiency in 3D CAD for the design of machines and equipment Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally when required Positive, proactive, and dependable work ethic Qualification: Dip, BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
