About the Role
The Mine Manager (3-in-1) – Opencast Operation position is a critical role that requires a seasoned mining professional with strong leadership and management skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all mining operations and ensuring production targets are met while maintaining full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all mining operations and ensure production targets are met
- Ensure full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA)
- Manage and control operational budgets and costs
- Lead and manage mining, engineering, and support teams
- Implement and monitor mine planning and production schedules
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a strong safety culture
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in operational performance
Requirements
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous Mines)
- Minimum 10 years mining experience
- At least 5 years in a senior management role in opencast mining
- Strong knowledge of MHSA and mining regulations
- Proven leadership and management skills
