We are seeking an experienced Yacht Chef with a strong background in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine to join a private yacht in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in the GCC region and be skilled in preparing high-quality meals for yacht owners, guests, and crew while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and efficiency.

Key

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare a variety of Mediterranean and Italian dishes, catering to the preferences of the yacht owner and guests.
• Ensure all meals are cooked to perfection with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
• Manage the yachts galley operations, including provisioning, stock management, and budgeting.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the galley.
• Adjust menus based on dietary restrictions, guest preferences, and seasonal ingredients.
• Work closely with the crew to ensure seamless meal service, coordinating with stewards for guest dining arrangements.
• Prepare meals for special occasions, themed dinners, and events on board.
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of food supplies, ensuring minimal waste.
• Adapt to dynamic schedules and changing guest requirements with flexibility and efficiency.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in the GCC region as a chef in luxury yachts, private households, or high-end restaurants.
• Strong expertise in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine with an innovative approach to plating and presentation.
• Previous experience working on yachts or in a high-end hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP certification is a plus).
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, confined environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with crew members.
• Professional culinary training or relevant certifications are preferred.
• Flexibility to travel and work long hours as per the yachts schedule.
