Job Description

The Receptionist/Opera Experience role based in Groothoek, North West, is a key position within the Travel, Leisure, Tourism, and Hospitality industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.

Job Duties:

• Welcome and greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries promptly
• Handle reservations and bookings efficiently
• Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs
• Maintain a clean and organised reception area
• Provide information on local attractions, events, and services
• Utilise Opera software for managing reservations and guest information

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Opera software or similar reservation systems
• Previous experience in a front desk or customer-facing role
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

Education:

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required. Additional certification in hospitality or related field is desirable.

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in a receptionist or customer service role within the hospitality industry is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiarity with hotel operations and guest services
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional language proficiency is an advantage
• Certification in Opera software or similar reservation systems

Working Conditions:
