About the Role
The Bay Hotel, nestled between the majestic Twelve Apostles Mountain range and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean in the heart of Camps Bay, is seeking a Repair & Maintenance Manager to join our exceptional team. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be the key figure in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Your role is critical in maintaining the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the property, contributing to an exceptional guest experience and smooth operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance activities
- Manage a team of maintenance staff
- Coordinate with other departments to address and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Contribute to an exceptional guest experience
- Maintain the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the property
Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate essential
- Tertiary Qualification in Maintenance Management not essential but preferred
- Project Management Qualification (preferred)
- OHAS Qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum of 3 -5 years experience in the same or similar position
- Project Management or Supervisory experience (essential)
- Previous experience in hospitality sector (advantageous)
- Demonstrated ability mentor personnel and manage supplier relationships
- Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant field including experience in projects and maintenance
- Site and facilities experience preferred and experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team
- A sound knowledge of architectural drawings and layouts, OHAS and related acts/regulations will be very advantageous
- Strong Administrative skills
