Section Manager (Cold Storage / Logistics)
Location: Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)
Hourly Rate: (market-related, dependent on experience)
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Job Purpose
To support and oversee cold storage operations, ensuring strict adherence to export market protocols, maintaining product quality and cold chain integrity, and driving operational efficiency within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cold storage and warehousing operations
- Ensure compliance with cold chain requirements and food safety standards
- Monitor stock control processes, including receiving, storage, and dispatch
- Coordinate export-related activities in line with client and regulatory requirements
- Lead and manage operational staff to meet productivity and quality targets
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in a cold storage, warehousing, or logistics environment
- Solid understanding of cold chain operations and stock control practices
- Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards
- Exposure to export market protocols (advantageous)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (advantageous)

Additional Requirements
- Must be physically fit and comfortable working in cold storage conditions
- Availability for shift work, overtime, and contract-based assignments as required
- Preference will be given to candidates immediately available for contract roles
