About the Role

A fast-growing innovator within South Africa’s renewable energy sector is seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer to join their dynamic and forward-thinking technology team. About the Role

A rapidly growing technology business is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to play a critical role in building and evolving high-performance digital platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, cloud-native systems that directly support sustainability and real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and scaling backend services using C# and .NET
  • Building modern, API-first platforms and event-driven systems
  • Developing rich, responsive front-end applications using TypeScript and React/Next.js
  • Contributing to cloud architecture and infrastructure on AWS
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and DevOps best practices
  • Ensuring performance, security, reliability, and maintainability across systems

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in professional software development
  • Strong expertise in C#/.NET, including ASP.NET Core Web APIs and EF Core
  • Experience with messaging, queues, topics, and asynchronous architectures
  • Solid database experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server, including scaling strategies
  • API-first development using OpenAPI/Swagger and standard versioning approaches
  • Front-end experience with TypeScript and modern React or Next.js frameworks
  • Focus on UI performance, accessibility, and responsive design
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB)
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or CDK)
  • Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, Cognito)
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based DevOps practices
