About the Role
Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer: Mechanical to join our client’s team in South Africa. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all motor vehicle components meet our high standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage the qualifying program for new part introduction
- Implement continuous improvement by identifying the root cause of part deviation from specification and correcting the deviation in all phases of the life cycle of the part
- Test and evaluate the performance of parts according to the specification
- Provide the required technical expertise for complete parts with respect to material and function
- Initiate design improvements for complex problems on parts
- Initiate local and CKD claims from suppliers
Requirements
- Affirmative Action South African citizen
- National Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Completed National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
