Springbok: Management Accountant

This role focuses on cost control, budgeting, stock management, and fixed asset oversight within a mining or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting foundation and the ability to translate financial information into actionable insights for business decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, monitor, and analyse budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives Maintain and monitor cost control processes, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions Manage stock, inventory, and fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording, valuation, and reporting Act as a bridge between the Finance Manager and operational management, providing meaningful financial analysis to support decision-making Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, highlighting key insights, trends, and areas of concern Collaborate with the Finance Manager to support strategic planning, performance monitoring, and financial controls Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and internal reporting Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control Qualifications and Experience: CA(SA) or CIMA qualified (CA(SA) advantageous) Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a mining or manufacturing environment Proven experience in cost accounting, budgeting, stock and fixed asset management Strong understanding of management accounting principles and reporting requirements Skills and Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between finance and operational teams High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Why Join?: This role offers exposure to strategic financial decision-making in a dynamic mining/manufacturing environment, the opportunity to work closely with senior management, and a chance to develop your career as a specialist in management accounting.
