Cape Town City Centre: Mechanical Engineer

In this role, youll take the helm on high-performance yacht design projects from sleek concept development to production-ready execution. Youll work with advanced composites, design complex marine systems, and produce detailed 3D models, drawings, and stress analyses using tools like SolidWorks, Rhino, and AutoCAD . Education: BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering Job Experience & Skills Required: 5 years of experience in mechanical design, conveyor systems, or material handling . Experience in Visual Basic or C programming (advantageous). Project management experience is a plus. Plan and manage daily engineering tasks to meet strict project deadlines. Develop detailed designs using AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks , from conceptual sketches to full 3D models. Conduct stress analysis, simulations, and ISO-compliant reporting . Handle product costing, quoting, and BOM creation within an ERP system (Epicor) . Oversee end-to-end project execution , including client liaison, site visits, order processing, and installation support .
