About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with business leaders in our Cape Town City Centre office, delivering end-to-end HR generalist support across the full employee lifecycle and driving organisational success through effective people plans and HR interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into effective people plans and HR interventions
- Deliver end-to-end HR generalist support across the full employee lifecycle
- Act as a trusted advisor on talent management, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement
- Facilitate performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, calibration, and employee discussions
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning sessions
- Manage employee relations matters including misconduct, grievances, incapacity, and workplace conflict
- Provide guidance on South African labour legislation and HR policies
- Draft and deliver clear HR communications to employees and leadership
- Support organisational change initiatives such as restructuring and onboarding
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Analyse people data (headcount, turnover, performance, EE) to inform decision-making
- Operate proactively to identify and address people-related risks
- Support recruitment activities including workforce planning, interviews, and offers
- Promote a high-performance culture and continuous development
- Collaborate with HR specialist teams to deliver integrated HR solutions
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of HR processes and activities
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, or related field
- Honours degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related discipline (preferred)
- 35 years experience in an HR generalist or HR Business Partner role
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases independently
- Exposure to performance and talent management processes
- Experience within financial services and/or asset management environment (preferred)
