Rustenburg: Contract Manager

About the Role

The Contract Manager will provide security advice to clients, conduct threat and risk assessments, and manage client relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for manpower management, equipment management, and effectively dealing with client complaints. They will ensure that contractual requirements are met at all times and initiate disciplinary hearings as needed. The Contract Manager will also be responsible for incident and investigation management, ensuring compliance with the company’s disciplinary code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct threat and risk assessments for clients
  • Provide security advice to clients
  • Manage client relationships and liaison
  • Manage manpower and equipment
  • Deal with client complaints effectively
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met at all times
  • Initiate and chair disciplinary hearings
  • Manage incidents and investigations
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s disciplinary code
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Attend meetings and take calls to assist with matters of urgency
  • Perform after-hour visits and standby duties

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining environment
  • Experience in the Chrome environment is an advantage
  • Security Management Diploma or equivalent will be an advantage
  • Experience in investigations of criminal cases and internal mine-related cases
  • SAPS experience is an advantage
  • PSIRA certification Grade A
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Firearm competency and a valid Regulation 21 certificate for (9mm, Shotgun, Self-Loading Rifle, Carbine)
  • HIRA and Legal Liability training
  • Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position
  • Not less than 5 years as a Contract Manager in a Mining Environment
