Job Summary
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Unit Manager specialized in Diesel Engine Specialist (Heavy Equipment and Vehicles in the mining industry). The manager will be responsible for staff management, key customer relations, meeting targets and deadlines, providing reports to head office, and ensuring customer satisfaction and branch growth.QualificationsSpecific engine knowledge required: Deutz, Cummins, John Deere, CATExperience in underground field service work – preferably 5 years+Red Seal Trade Certified as Diesel Mechanic or relevant fieldMedically fitAt least 5 years experience working on diesel engines of mining equipment and heavy vehicles5+ years in a management positionHealth and Safety Strong troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of preventive maintenance techniquesExcellent customer service and communication skills as representative of the employer customer siteEffective self-management and performance ownershipAttention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in both Afrikaans and EnglishResiding in the region or willing to relocate
