About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead our audit teams and drive quality delivery, while fostering a positive work environment and mentoring trainee accountants. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end engagement delivery, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit teams on multiple engagements
- Foster a positive, motivating work environment
- Mentor, coach, and develop trainee accountants through structured training
- Drive continuous learning, technical upskilling, and performance excellence within the audit team
- Manage Engagement Management Plans, schedules, and oversee audits, independent reviews, trusts, and individual engagements
- Review and finalise working papers and reports for accuracy and compliance with ISA and IFRS for SMEs
- Maintain strong client relationships and attend to queries and consultations
- Proactively identify risks and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal requirements
Requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership ability
- Strong technical knowledge of ISA and IFRS for SMEs
- Proven experience managing audit engagements and leading teams
- Advanced computer skills
- CaseWare experience
- Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities
- A professional, driven, and client-focused approach
Qualifications
Completed SAICA traineeship (essential)
