About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join the culinary team of a Luxury Restaurant in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual with a strong culinary foundation to thrive in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your section
- Ensure all food preparation meets restaurant standards and presentation expectations
- Assist with the smooth running of the kitchen during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to senior chefs
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety procedures diligently
- Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements when appropriate
Requirements
- Formal culinary training or relevant professional qualification
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within a fine dining or high-end kitchen
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
