About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Financial Accountant & Administrator to join our team in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day transaction processing, weekly payments, local/international creditors, and supplier reconciliations.
Own bank reconciliations, matching transactions, manage company credit cards, and expense reimbursements.
Process monthly payroll for SA (through payroll provider) and US (through payroll provider).
Maintain and update Fixed Asset Registers.
Manage the full customer lifecycle on Maxio and Stripe; order forms/quotes, onboarding, monthly invoicing, Stripe billing (credit notes/collections), and active debtor management.
Monitor renewals and expiry flags; professionally handle customer billing enquiries via email.
Assist with M/E transactions and processes. Ensure all records are audit-ready and assist with file preparation and reporting.
Perform general bookkeeping and ad-hoc administration tasks.

Requirements

5 years of relevant experience in a bookkeeping role.
Proficiency in cloud systems.
QuickBooks Online experience is highly advantageous.
Accounting degree or diploma.
Strong financial accounting background.
Agile and adaptive to a changing environment and enjoys new challenges.
Great at working independently and being self-motivated.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and great at actively communicating.
Competent in dealing with suppliers, customers and external providers.

Formal education/certifications (Accounting degree or diploma).
