About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Tulbagh, South Africa. As a Process Engineer at iStaff (Pty) Ltd, you will be responsible for driving process optimization, leading engineering design and development projects, and contributing to research and development. Your expertise in Lean Six Sigma, automation, and manufacturing technology will be invaluable in helping us achieve our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical reports, maintain documentation, and present findings to management
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, ISO, GMP, BRC, and other relevant standards
- Mentor and guide Junior Engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and knowledge-sharing
- Lead engineering design and development projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards
- Engage effectively with suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to research and development, supporting new product launches and emerging technology integration
- Collaborate across Production, R&D, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality teams to align solutions with business objectives
- Drive process optimization using Lean Six Sigma, and innovative engineering methodologies
- Manage projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, timelines, budgets, and quality outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration (advantageous)
- Professional certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or PMP (beneficial)
- 5+ Years in engineering roles, preferably in production, manufacturing or high-volume operations
- Proven track record in OEE, BOM execution, process optimization and cost management
- Xperdyte or similar production planning software experience (advantageous)

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering
