About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Sales Assistant to join our team at Umhlanga Rocks. As a golf enthusiast with a solid understanding of golf accessories, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service. If you have a strong passion for golf, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Opens and closes the golf shop, sells merchandise, and supervises part-time staff.
- Increases sales and maintains high customer service standards.
- Assists in daily shop operations and ensures a clean, organised, and well-merchandised environment.
- Creates a first-class experience for all customers and liaises with the Director of Golf.
- Handles and resolves customer complaints, escalating when necessary.
- Prepares daily reports, cash-ups, and performs stock counts as required.
- Manages stock receiving, checks deliveries against invoices, and maintains accurate documentation.
- Promotes golf lessons, club facilities, and assists with competitions and scoring.
Requirements
- 12 years of experience in sales or a related field.
- Golf enthusiast with a solid understanding of golf accessories.
- Friendly and approachable personality.
- Reliable and responsible.
- Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent.
