About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in the Western Cape region. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate costing and financial analysis for our agricultural production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate costing for farming and packing operations
  • Conduct cost analysis and reporting for agricultural and packhouse activities
  • Monitor and analyse inventory variances, inefficiencies and wastage
  • Perform product costing, inventory reporting and maintenance
  • Oversee and maintain inventory management processes
  • Work closely with production and finance teams to implement cost control improvements
  • Support budgeting and financial planning
  • Compile daily and weekly productivity reports
  • Assist with implementation and rollout of new systems
  • Provide general assistance to the Financial Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in cost accounting or a similar role
  • Experience in an agricultural production environment is advantageous
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with ERP and BOM experience
  • Own reliable transport

Qualifications

  • BCom Degree or Finance Qualification
