About the Role
The Credit Dealmaker role at Communicate Finance involves ensuring that credit policies, criteria, procedures, and documentation are generated and adhered to, while assessing the credit worthiness of empowerment enterprises with a responsible lending mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing the credit worthiness of empowerment enterprises specifically with a responsible lending mindset
- Suggesting amendments to a deal structure according to specific position of the enterprise
- Preparing all documentation and analysis, including financial forecast models and Investment memorandums, to present to and facilitate decisions of the Credit/Investment Committee
- Determining and ensuring that company operations meet conditions for the provisions, and special loan conditions for clients
- Preparing and concluding loan and security agreements and other ancillary documentation
- Monitoring loan agreements compliance through time and liaising with the borrower to ensure that no clauses on the agreement are breached
- Monitoring credit exposure
- Liaising with other staff within the company making specific reference to the Credit Team on matters relating to existing and new loans and with other members of the team to assist with matters that indirectly affect the credit team and the company’s borrowers
- Assessing credit applications and gathering required financial and non-financial information for due diligence
- Conducting financial statement, ratio, and financial model analysis to evaluate funding opportunities
- Understanding lending environments, particularly secured lending to small private businesses
- Preparing detailed reports with clear findings and recommendations for management and the Investment Committee
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements when approving or declining credit applications
- Managing multiple assessments and delivering work accurately within deadlines
- Engaging professionally with clients, management, and third parties
- Contributing to improving lending processes and deal execution
- Working independently while collaborating closely with the credit team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Credit & Risk Experience
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to deal with relevant client queries and assess companies across various industries
- Passion for lending/markets
Qualifications
Degree in Finance or Accounting
