Job Description
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a relevant trade certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a focus on trucks and forklifts.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Able and willing to work shifts
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on diesel trucks and forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on diesel engines and related systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair engine components, including fuel systems, transmissions, gearboxes, and differentials.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Inspect, test, and repair braking systems, steering mechanisms, and suspension components.
- Perform diagnostic testing using computerised diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Test and inspect repaired vehicles to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
