About the Role
You’re not here to babysit spreadsheets. You’re here to run the numbers, challenge them, explain them, and occasionally remind the business that maths still matters. We’re representing a well-established, fast-moving commercial business looking for a Finance Manager who knows the difference between reporting and insight and isn’t afraid to speak up when the numbers tell an uncomfortable truth.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning monthly management reporting, budgets, and forecasts
- Leading, guiding and developing a finance team
- Reviewing general ledger reconciliations, cash flows, and variances
- Preparing board-ready financial packs and management reports
- Managing audits, statutory returns, tax, and compliance
- Overseeing forex exposure and commercial risk
- Ensuring deadlines are met, standards are high, and numbers are accurate
Requirements
- CA(SA)
- Around 6- 8 years’ experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong technical grounding in IFRS, tax, VAT, and consolidations
- Commercial acumen and business partnering capability
- Advanced Excel skills
- ERP exposure (SAP advantageous, not essential)
- Confidence to manage up, down and across the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting
