About the Role

The Financial Planner & Analyst will be responsible for delivering accurate financial planning, insightful analysis, and strategic support to the business. This role goes beyond reporting — it requires someone who can interpret data, challenge assumptions, and translate numbers into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts across revenue, expenses, and cash flow
  • Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and evaluate profitability
  • Provide strategic support to leadership on investments, new initiatives, and overall business planning
  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support scenario planning and ad-hoc analysis
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs and contribute to dashboards and visualisation tools
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Marketing, and Credit to ensure alignment on performance metrics and objectives
  • Deliver variance analysis and performance commentary to support informed decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • 2–5 years’ experience in FP&A or a Financial Analyst role
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial functions, pivot tables, VBA)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases
  • Exposure to retail, fintech, or lending environments would be advantageous
