About the Role
Network Finance is seeking an experienced Fire and Wet Services Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing wet services systems and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee wet services systems (water supply, drainage, stormwater, sewer)
- Develop and review fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, detection systems)
- Ensure compliance with SANS codes, municipal regulations, and relevant industry standards
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and commissioning support
- Manage projects from concept through to completion, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities for approvals and project delivery
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and draughtsmen
Requirements
- BEng/BSc in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Professionally registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (Pr Eng)
- 5–10+ years’ experience in building services engineering
- Proven experience in wet services and fire protection design
- Strong knowledge of SANS 10400 and fire-related codes
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
