About the Role
The President Hotel is on a journey to be considered a true luxury destination, and we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance checks and address reported faults promptly
- Conduct preventive maintenance across all hotel facilities and equipment
- Respond to guest room maintenance requests with professionalism and urgency
- Support smooth operation of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and pool systems
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and emergency standards
Requirements
- Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in hotel or commercial property maintenance
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general repair work
- Experience with HVAC, kitchen equipment, pool systems, and fire & safety equipment beneficial
- Ability to troubleshoot and carry out preventive and reactive maintenance
- Physically fit, reliable, and safety-conscious
Qualifications
- Trade test or technical qualification advantageous
- Completed Matric certificate (Grade 12) is a requirement for this role
